Our Club Member of the Week this week is- Jane Hadfield ! Everyone say hi to Jane ! I hope you will enjoy getting to know her a little better!
Your Name:Jane Hadfield
At what age did you start sewing/quilting? 5/6 sewing doll house bed covers and clothes for my doll with my Nana Elsie, but then nothing after high school as I got into wood work.
Do you do other types of sewing besides quilting? (clothing, home décor, etc.) Red work, blue work and basic embroidery.
Do you have other creative hobbies? (cooking, knitting, painting, gardening….) Love to knit Aran jumpers and love to be in my garden, also grow veggies. Not big on cooking but love to bake.
Did you name your sewing machine? Poo which is my nickname for my big brother Peter.
Favorite sewing gadget? Jack the ripper being new to sewing he’s become a great friend.
What’s your oldest UFO?Only been sewing since end of 2019 so what I have started has been completed. Wonder how long I’ll be able to say that??
Tell us about your family (children, grandchildren, fur babies, etc.) Married to Bill for 40 years, one daughter Sarah married to Ishaak and we have four grandchildren, two of each. We also have a 4 year old Wheetonterrior, Otis, who is crazy.
Where do you live, and what is your favorite thing about where you live? We live on the isle of Anglesey off North Wales. It’s rural and we have amazing beaches on our doorstep.
Favorite vacation spot? Been to lots of amazing places but loved Canada and want to visit again.
